Providing excellent orthopedic care is only part of the services provided at Bone and Joint Specialists, PC. There are insurance forms to be completed, prior authorizations, deductibles, co-pays, notes for work, notes for school, prescriptions, instructions from the doctor, casts, crutches, braces and many other “things” involved in a complete visit to any physician.

Our Staff is expert in taking care of every aspect of your care. From the minute you are greeted at the front desk until you leave, we will make sure that your needs are met, your questions are answered, and your doctor visit was “complete”.

Melissa Woodruff

Melissa has been employed by Dr. Goldhagen since he first came to Alexander City, in 1998. She is the “Director of First Impressions”, or Office Concierge, and knows how to handle almost any situation tactfully and professionally. She ALWAYS has a big, radiant smile on her face, and hasn’t had a bad day at work since she started.

Elizabeth Dunham

Elizabeth has also been with Dr. Goldhagen from the start. She is an LPN and an excellent x-ray tech. She is an expert at taking x-rays as painlessly as possible, especially with children. She always has a bright smile and kind word for everyone.

Sandra Peters

Sandra has been with Dr. Goldhagen since 1999. Sandra’s primary job involves scheduling and billing. However, she also takes care of physician and testing referrals, as well as prior authorizations (to make sure that what the doctor orders is approved by the insurance company so that he patient doesn’t get a bill). Sandra’s warm smile is surpassed only by her quiet, compassionate, and extremely friendly demeanor.

Jerome Crayton

Jerome has been with Dr. Goldhagen since 2002. He was an OR scrub technician for more than 15 years before coming to work with Bone and Joint Specialists, P.C. Jerome assists Dr. Goldhagen in the OR, schedules cases, and is a cast technician. He is the “go to guy” when something has to get done. He can also do most anything in the office, but prides himself on providing the highest quality, friendly, professional service.

Casey Oliver

Casey has been with Bone and Joint Specialists since 2005. She is a billing expert and a computer “whiz”. She is a graduate of Auburn University and an avid Football fan. This often puts her at odds with Jerome and Elizabeth (Alabama fans), and Dr Goldhagen (Go Gators!).
